And that’s a wrap! Our 5th annual Ditto X: Meet the Music Industry has concluded at the O2 London and it's safe to say it was our biggest and best Ditto X event yet. With our strongest attendance to date and a stellar line up of industry stars, hundreds of young artists and aspiring industry professionals took advantage of a full day of networking, panels, workshops and feedback sessions, hearing from some of the biggest players in the industry.

Kicking things off at London’s Indigo at The O2 was our upgraded centralised Industry Market. With a range of our key partners from across the music industry offering key services as well as providing the perfect networking opportunity for aspiring musicians and industry professionals to grab some freebies, learn about music courses, access their services and gather critical career advice for their musical journeys.
Partners and guests throughout the day included Amplead, LMSUK, Rough Trade, PRS, Groover, Music Video Marketplace and more!
Following this our Main Stage host, BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Fee Mak got the opening keynote of the day underway: Hitting Millions of Streams Independently (with A1 x J1’s manager Deej, founder of House Of Zee) whilst Stage X got underway dissecting the processes of Music Royalties Collection with PRS and PPL. Meanwhile in the Blue Room, music education pioneers SupaJam, alongside a panel of industry pros, supported and educated young music creatives on making a career out of music.
The day kept rolling with all three of our stages: Main Stage, Stage X & The Blue Room hosting insightful panels & workshops like Growing on the Airwaves using BBC Introducing & How to Book Bigger & Better Shows, before Ditto Music Presents: Distribution and Artist Marketing Success speakers ran through insights and ways to grow your audience worldwide and promote your music for long-term success.
Laced in between the industry discussions were impressive live performances from the likes of Luke Pickett, Seafoam Green, Ashley Singh & Lizzie Berchie.
The afternoon sessions didn’t slow down as more panels took place on Streaming Strategies: Which Tools & Services Drive Artist Growth?, led by Kevin Boateng from the streaming powerhouse Spotify, and a Sync Licensing: Taking Music from Studio to Screen panel including SKY, ITV, BBH London, Neighbourhood Junction & our very own Sync team, discussed how artists can land those lucrative sync spots.
Closing out the day was Ghanaian superstar Sarkodie, who sat down with KJ SPIO to tell the story of his rise to become one of Africa’s biggest music icons. Sarkodie was also awarded the Ditto Music Legacy Award for his achievements in music.

The Main Stage wasn’t the only hotspot. Stage X proved to be a must-visit for independent artists looking to up their music marketing strategies.
Guest speakers from the likes of VEVO and Music Video Marketplace offered their advice on how emerging artists can make short-form and long-form video content work for them. Rising artists like Natalie Shay, gave a special talk on How to Turn Listeners into Loyal Fans, sharing proven information on growing meaningful fan connections.
The crowd was then treated to a track deconstruction from producer Ski Oakenfull, who broke down all the elements of the epic house anthem, Joe Smooth’s Promised Land, before reconstructing and performing it using Ableton Live and Push.
Littered throughout the day were 4 rounds of Amplead’s The Feedback Sessions. Selected up-and-coming artists received expert feedback and career advice on their music from some of the UK music industry’s biggest hitters like Tristian Ivemy (Manager, The Lottery Winners), Jodie Bryant (BBC Radio 1), Ollie Winiberg (BBC Introducing / Podcaster) and Jeff Powell (Big Hug Sync).

Across the arena, The Blue Room was a hub of collaborative music discussion as young people flooded in throughout the day to chat with industry experts from Spotify, Polydor, Ditto Music, BBC Radio 1 & PRS, who were offering career advice and key information with streaming, distribution, radio and a spotlight on how black music continues to lead culture while navigating a changing landscape.
Partners and guests throughout the day included Kevin Boateng, Jess Izsatt, Jodie Bryant, Kenny Barber plus Ditto Music’s very own Callum Hay & Chris Mooney.
Towards the end of the day, the Ditto X Main Stage hosted our very own Ditto Music Awards. Fee Mak took to the stage to present the winners with their awards, with Ashley Singh & Lizzie Berchie taking home the Rising Star Awards, which was first won by Tik Tok Superstar Myles Smith back in 2023.
Last but certainly not least, rap icon Sarkodie was presented with the Ditto Legacy Award 2025, a fitting tribute for the remarkable career he has had to date, emphasising further why he is considered one of Africa's most successful rappers of all time.
Just before the curtain dropped, two lucky attendees were announced as the winners of our competitions, taking home a £250 cash prize and a Focusrite home studio setup respectively.
